Sipora Privacy Policy
This policy applies to the Sipora Android app (com.rudelabs.sipora). For the Rude Labs website, see our main privacy policy.
Last updated: 9 August 2026
The short version. Sipora has no account, no server and no sync. Every glass you log stays on your device. The only information that leaves your phone is what Google AdMob needs in order to show ads.
Who we are
Sipora is published by Rude Labs. The app is available at Google Play.
What Sipora stores on your device
Sipora saves the following in your device’s private app storage:
- your water logs, daily goal and preferred unit (ml or fl oz)
- your reminder schedule and quiet hours
- your streaks, best day and other records
- your appearance settings and any unlocked progress-ring colours
This never leaves your device. We cannot see it, and we have no server that could receive it. Uninstalling Sipora deletes all of it permanently. There is no backup and no export, so if you uninstall the app your history is gone.
Advertising
Sipora is free and is funded by advertising through Google AdMob. To serve ads, Google may collect and process:
- your device’s advertising ID
- device information such as model, operating system version and language
- an approximate location derived from your IP address
- your interactions with ads shown in the app
Google acts as an independent controller of this data. Their handling of it is governed by the Google Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
Your consent choices
In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, Sipora shows a consent form (Google’s User Messaging Platform) before making any ad request. You can change your choices at any time from Settings → Privacy inside the app.
Wherever you are, you can reset or delete your advertising ID from your device’s Settings → Privacy → Ads, or opt out of ad personalisation entirely from the same place.
Permissions Sipora requests
- Notifications — to send the hydration reminders you schedule. Reminders are optional; decline the permission and the rest of the app works normally.
- Run at startup — to restore your reminder schedule after the device restarts. Without it, reminders would stop silently after a reboot.
- Internet and advertising ID — used only to request ads. No other network request is made.
Children
Sipora is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted at this address with an updated date above. Material changes will also be noted in the app’s release notes.
